/trv/ is a slow board, you don't need to bump more than once a day -- it's OK if your thread is not on the front page, we look several pages deep here. You can do that. too, looking for threads on your topic.

Questions are welcomed, as are threads sharing experiences or generally discussing travel. For very general questions, you can get answers faster at other sites. Google is your friend. Start there, then come back here for specific questions. Some good links for basic info, and a few Pet Peeves of the board, are included within this thread.

Post your stories and experiences while travelling or living in India. I will be visiting at some point so all info is appreciated.

Are the southern states really more interesting than the northern ones? Which city/state did you like the most?
Which vaccines (if any) did you get before arriving?
Have you been to any ashrams/gurus while staying there? Are the Himalayas worth the visit?
Describe encounters with scammers/ corrupt police/ shit bureaucracy/ transportation issues if any.
How is Covid in India? Any serious arrival restrictions or mandatory tests?

Share whatever else you find valuable or interesting.

Wasted 3 years of my life in China -- What do?

No.1942141 ViewReplyOriginalReport
-I taught in China for 3 years, got married there a few months ago, and just dipped out 4 days ago back home to west coast USA. Going to have my marriage dissolved because post marriage my wife has been a controlling psycho --not even gonna go into the details--. Just lucky I didn't have kids with her and that she doesn't have a green-card yet, so most likely I can dump her with no consequences and cancel out her petition with the USCIS.
-Anyway, it's really weird in the US now. Everyone seems on edge. Is it even possible to pump and dump skanks on Tinder now with everyone so paranoid about Covid?
-Is there anywhere I can travel to to have a good time, either domestically or abroad? How are things in Florida?
--Also, I'm not worried about Covid. I think the whole thing is overblown, and I most likely had the coof way back in February-March when I was travelling around in Thailland -- had a persistent cough for 3 months that started with a mild fever.

Is Israel safe for an Arab American to travel to?

No.1942052 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hi guys. I'm 21, female, born in the US but have dual citizenship in Lebanon through my parents. I have an interest in traveling everywhere. If I wanted to travel to Israel one day in the future, would it be safe for me? Are Israeli's particularly racist towards Arab travellers? Would I even be let in the country due to having citizenship in Lebanon? I'm not planning a trip there currently. Just incredibly curious.

Cancuck here. I don't have any friends or SO to go traveling with, but I am desperate to go to Europe this year as I've never traveled there - and it's been over 12 years since I've been on an airplane.

I don't really want to go alone. As much as it would be ok to do, I just know it's a much more thrilling experience when you're with a friend or a buddy, or a group even.

Are there any sort of backpacking/excursion/youth groups that I can join where there's like an itinerary and you get to all go together and travel? That would be super nice if such groups exist

Traveling to Mexico in COVID Times

No.1934748 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'm flying to Mexico to visit my e-gf at the end of January / start of February. How do I get ready for my trip? Any visa shit I should take care of first? Any COVID crap I should be aware of? Also, I'm technically a Mexican citizen so it shouldn't be a problem to visit, but my only Mexican identification is my voter ID card lol.

On another note, am I weird for wanting to move to Mexico? I know it's a shithole but honestly so is the USA. Might as well live in a comfy and cheap shithole with my USD savings than continue being depressed here is my idea... thoughts?

Best City to live in France

No.1942330 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'm a Spanish 23yo who was raised in Brazil.
My college will have only online classing for the next 6 months.
My brother lived in Ireland for the past year and worked as bicycle deliveryman and studied english. I want to do the same in France for some time. What cities are big enough so they have those delivery apps and is not extremely expensive
and full of arabs or blacks?
